this is the ultimate goal really.....its alot easier to retain your muscle mass when you do it like flexmaster just said....bulking huge and having a high bf% is always alot harder on the muscle retention because of the serious dieting that you have to do to get rid of the fat....but on the other hand the bulking while staying lean part is also difficult too.....consistency will prevail though!!1

good post zylo!

Now seriously folks .. do you think pros would give out secrets just like that ? Cause nutrition info is much more valuable than than what cycles they use ... besides if you are using gh and juicing this chart is too low in the sense of calories .

The only secret the pro's have is their cycles & their crazy genetics.

Diet isn't a secret........... Why on earth would you think that?

Possibly what they do in the last few weeks to prep for contest might be their own little secrets, but what I posted above is not a "contest prep" diet....

Just general guidelines for bulking up and staying lean. This diet is also not meant for people who are on big cycles and gh....... It is also not meant for people who are already 230 pounds and up.... You probably already know how to bulk if you weigh that much. Not everyone that reads these boards are genetic freaks, or even over 200-225 pounds of solid muscle..... I'd say 75% are average guys who might do a few small cycles trying to build some muscle.

one major thing you need to take into account is your daily activity level. i have worked as a waiter, construction worker, in 2 different gyms, and being a student. you should really know you caloric expenditure throughout the day, and add the appropriate amount of calories to grow at the rate you wish to.

fitness goals: to build lean muscle and tone
I'm 23 5'7" 115lbs about 19%bf very atheletic
I used to play basketball high school and was in the best shape of my life, I weighed 125 and was very lean. can't seem to get back to that.
I go to the gym 3-4 days a week I've been weight training for about 2yrs now and I used to go 5days a week consistently. I don't do cardio, when I used to do cardio for 45min on an eliptical I would get too skinny really fast. my workouts last on average about an hour. I lift heavy and go till failure. I'd really like to have more muscular legs and great abs. my stomach is flat but my muscles aren't big enough to see them. I have no clue as to how many calories I should be taking in every day. thanks a lot for your help and any suggestions are definitely welcome.

Sounds like you may need more days of rest between workouts...........There was a point when I worked out every 3 days and made hellacious gains........Makes you very anxious but it worked.

I would workout 30-45 minutes. 1-2 warmup sets and 1-2 very heavy sets of at least 8 reps. Very slow reps. You will benefit from lifting the weight normally and lowering it very slow. I used to take 15-20 seconds bringing my weights back down........burns like hell and when your done you will feel why you need more days of recovery.

Just a thought for ya.
