People that helped you when you were a newbie

This is kinda related to my other thread about the first board you found. What I'm wondering is when you first found the boards there was probably one or two people that you talked with that really helped you with questions. They may have offered advice on amounts to use, foods to eat, or if you we're lucky maybe who to order from.

I still remember emailing a guy on the UG asking him to help me. His name was naprox, but it used to look like this naprox.

Who helped you when you first got started??

Let me see....I have been in the gym and gear scene for quite a while....so I had a very good "foundation" of knowledge from reading and college courses over the years..and trial and error. Suprisingly I only found the boards in July of 2003. Guess I got off the planet for a decade or so! LOL!
Here are some things I have learned at MC in my short 5 months of being a member.
----Use 25g pins, compliments of KR and someone else(BS?) Thanks for saving the scar tissue!
----train calves with no shoes, compliments of Skip
----HIT cardio versus low int.cardio for lipolysis...compliments of Homonunculus
----Year round AAS . Something I always thought was a great idea but my buds talked me out of it. Skip and Randy-thanks for the info. I am at week 32, everything is positive..especially my nitrogen balance!. No sides.
----Dangerous Ground, CC, Homonunculus, Crankin,Mark M...I have either pm'd questions to you or chatted with you and gotta say thanks for the info you have shared.....
----Satchet-info and correspondence..and thanks for the B-day greeting!
----SM,Randy,KR,Crankin,JW,DG,BS, GetnBigr...and the other comediens out there...I enjoy the laughs!

----Randy, enjoy the scientific posts and info man. Very good.

Thanks bro I been active member of many boards over the yrs this one has taught me much in short time here as most members either compete or are hardcore vets.

You never know it all when you do you are a legend in your own mind. Thanks for the comps Randy, Skip, SweatMachine, Kid Rock, Winny and many others I forget have really helped me I believe go to the next level.

I leaned much yrs ago from Crazy-E talking on phone a few times told me many things.

I have been on boards 6+ yrs and learn many things ed still and each thing helps me gain and retain size for next cycle to be bigger and better than before.

Hey Mark,

Remember Bytor from the UG?... How 'bout Bjorn Schlotzsky?...

Thanks for the props, guys. It means a hell of a lot. I'm always glad to help out and happy to know I did. <wipe a little tear from my eye>

;^)

Napalm had some health problems and retired from bb'ing I believe. You may be able to find his post explaining what happenned if u do a search on here. Too bad he isn't around the board much anymore, he was a valuable source of input.

The was no internet when I was a newbie!
But I have always been greatful to John Parrillo for his help and advice.
I try to pass on what I can.

I remember them...how about guys like raver, mardi gras, fatboy, t2g.......

BiggerStronger has always been one or two steps ahead of me in the knowledge. So whoever he learner from is who I learned from indirectly. I think Decadent, SuperChicken, Gearedup (RIP), and Gear 101 were some of the people he really learned alot from.

Personally I learned alot about diet from WeirdAl. I continue to learn from the mods and members here now. I especially have to give a special shoutout to homonunculus for for recent posts and the new class!

Long Live MC!

LOL.....ummm, yes that is the case with alot of us, but how about when you were an "internet discussion board newbie?
Personally even though i had been online for awhile I didn't hit onto any discussion boards ontil around '2000, when mr Mcguire and his 'then' training partner told me about them. Gotta say though then it was Bolex, UG, Renegade, and a couple others that slip my old feeble mind........but I didn't get alot of knowledge from the boards then, mainly entertainment.
But then I found Prof-Mus, which brought me to Skip, which brought me here. Anyway I got of on a tangent.....lol, I'd say the most influential to me were Skip, Homomonclus, SFzilla, and STK.

Cant' remember all but I' remember that Saturn helpt me with some questions about anti-e and stuff.. and I belive that it was DangerousGround and Supersport that answered my questions about injections

Over on the old Fitnessboard

basskiller
BigGuns
OldFart

The short time i was on this board a year ago - Presser.

I learned mostly from books and the net.
After being shot down for asking newbie questions on boards which were legit questions but was accussed of being a lazy ass for not looking it up myself but this was in 99.
I hate people for shooting newbies down for legit questions even though all they have to do is a search..

I agree bro. Its good that you ask and say this.
Feel free to ask anything you want to. i will even open a new thread for ya.
