anyone ever have plantar fasciitis... heel pain!!

anyone know what will help it? doctors dont know crap.

This did wonders for my PF. Plantar Fasciitis Night Splint - Large Supposed to help stretch the tendon at night so it doesn't tighten up as much.

I'm just kidding. I just thought it looked funny sorry. But I did pop a muscle or tendon in both heels at work once lifting 2 60lb buckets going up stairs. I don't remember how long it took for them to heal.... but it took a while. I remember in the morning I could barely walk. Try to rest them as much as possible and maybe use a heating pad to increase blood circulation in the injury to speed recovery.

i was convinced you were serious about that foot contraption.... its funny you suggest a heating pad.. the drs advised using a frozen bottle of water to roll my foot on to reduce the inflamation

Yeah I think it's ice for the first 48 hours then heat. I just assumed you were passed that already since you've been to the doctor. It's just going to take time like a sprained ankle. Those things last forever man cause whenever you walk it just keeps reaggravating it. Some sort of bandage might help with heat and compression also to stabilize it more so you can't over....stretch it or strain it more while it is healing. The theory with heat is more blood flowing through the injury will heal it faster and carry all the shit and scar tissue away faster. I bumped a thread on igf too.

You want to use cold first to relieve inflammation. Inflammation restricts blood flow and slows the healing process, it can also be painful. Once the inflammation is down you can use a blood flow stimulator to speed up the healing. Definitely do not get the foot brace from the picture above. Plantar Fasciitis happens from overstretching the Plantar Ligament. You can stretch the Achilles and Calf but do not stretch the Plantar! After trying everything these BFST and ColdCure products from King Brand finally fixed my feet

i agree with the cold applications, but you do need to get an ankle brace to give a little support. It help me a lot, time and patience is the key after that.

Bro, I have it and I had the ortho make me some insoles. I wear them in any shoes or boots and insurance covers them, Medicaid etc
If you cant do that get some insoles that are soft foam (not Gel) for your shoes. I don't even know I have it anymore Unless I go barefoot on concrete.

Thanks heaps for all the ideas. . the ortho told me it will costs $450 for insols to be made and my insurance doesnt cover me (Australia). so im going to have to get some cheaper store bought ones.

As with the IGF-1 like i said Australia - pretty much everything here is fake and if its not its insanely expensive

What kind of shoes do you wear? If you go with asics its very easy to choose arch support. Just wet your foot and walk normal on paper. You can roughly match the print you leave with what level of pronation your arch is. Under-neutral-over or in between. They list all their shoes according to the level of pronation online. Don't mess with cheap insoles buy the proper arch support already in the shoe.

I work in a Hospital Lab and am on cocncrete 8-12 hrs a day. I started getting that 6 years ago. My dr told me to buy some KLOGS. Its a type of nursing shoe that is ugly as fuck. But, it fixed me inside of 5 days. Has a 2 1/2 inch cushoined heel. Awesome shoe and after those 5 days, I've never had another problem unless I'm barefoot on concrete for a while.

i work for a large law firm and wearing proper shoes or boots is required... problem is most leather shoes are stiff and hard....when not wearing those shoes im either in steel cap work boots as i do laboring around my house on weekends or im in Nike Luna runs all the rest of the time.. the nikes are ok they have a higher arch but my work shoes and steel caps are a killer.

You ever tried any Dr. Martens out?? They're very comfortable and very durable as well. Boots and dress shoes too...;)

I've had severe plantar fasciitis. What helped me was cortisone shots. You must try this.
this will be my final resort... im going top try stretches, massage and proper shoes with proper insoles... if i dont see an improvement in 6 weeks im going to get shots
