So I'm thumbing through June's edition of MD and I start reading Kai Greene's section (who I fucking hate) and he's boasting a product he's a sponsor for called CARNIVOR. I’m thinking, “What the fuck is Carnivor?” Low and behold, the next page is a full two-page advertisement for the stuff. But I must admit, it aroused my interest and thus the post. Supposedly, it packs 50 grams of protein per serving with a ton of creatine (20 times the amount of a steak) loads of BCAAs, and no cholesterol. Sounds pretty good, right? They go on to discuss how, through their patented “advanced extraction, clarification, hydrolysis and isolation technologies…”, they can make such a product. You know, the same bullshit we read time and time again. But I wonder, can this stuff really be worth a shit? And if so, why the fuck eat beef at all anymore? If it’s so damn good, why not skip your steak meals and use one of these things? Kai says “I drink three a day.” Why doesn’t the ugly bastard drink 3 and eat 2 meals a day instead?
What’s your guys take on this and does anyone have experience with the product? The idea, to me, sounds very intriguing—but what sounds too good to be true…
