rack deads or regular deadlifts

I think it depends on what you are looking for. For an overall full movement I think deadlifts are better for hitting a full range of muscles, however if you are looking for back, hand strength then rack pulls will be the way to go. Even though you use hams in both you by far get more of a stretch by doing regular deads like you mentioned

I do rack pulls if I did leg day and don't feel up to adding stress to my legs. Otherwise it's off the floor

I do rack pulls on back day I never go over 405. I try to 3 sets of 15 reps.

Full Dead Lifts I really feel in my hammys. I'll switch it up if my hamstrings are still sore from leg day.

I'm tall so rack deads for me. I also feel like Ican pull more that way which gives you better results. IMO

Yea I know what you mean, the most I've deadlifted in the past was 475, but I've rack pulled 600 in the past for a couple reps

I don't do either now, but before my back injuries, I would do full only if I felt like showing off. I like rack deads better as they feel safer to me

i have come to the conclusion the taller folk tend to like rack pulls more and the shorter people dont really care either way, although i have seen a guy about 5'2" doing rack pulls so... range of motion was a few inches

I'm tall and for some reason rack deads don't agree with me which makes no sense at all. I feel like my leverage is off or something, like I can't dig in, so I'm always off the floor.
