My dog, more like my daughter had passed away and it has been killing me. Hurts so bad. She was like my child, as I don't have any kids of my own. She was 11.5 years old, and brain cancer finally took its toll. I would give anything to get her back.

Sorry for your loss. Losing a pet is like losing a family member. Everyday will get just a little bit easier. But you will always miss them.
Dogs are only with us for a short part of our lives but they have such a huge impact. I miss all of my pets I've lost over the years.
Good luck.

Sorry Bro about yr loss, just another roadblock I hope you can overcome, losing a pet hurts worse than any 100 rep set. I love dogs, what great friends they are.

My ex GF and I had a resue dog a number of yrs ago, her son found her so technically the dog is hers. We split, she gets the dog but i always had visitation rights now she moving away and taking her. I'm not sure who I'm gonna miss more...

thank you for the comments. Dogs are the best replacement for people, never have to worry, they are always there to love you.

I lost my dog about 2 and a half years ago. It is a little better but not a lot. He is/was a pit I was lucky enough to have him about 14 years. I went through more with him than anyone could imagion. Well before my wife and kids. I never imagined my life without a dog but I can't get another. As bad as I want my kids to grow up with a dog. I just can't do it. I was so lucky he went quick and unexpected...

Anyway it does get a LITTLE easier... I understand how you feel. It is still very hard to think about.

Brother, I know your pain all too well. I got my favorite pup from the breeder when he was 9 weeks old. Picked him out when he was 6 weeks old, but the breeder wouldn't let him go until 9weeks. I had him for almost 12 years before having to make the hardest decision of my life. He was so smart, so loyal, and had so much personality, it was like losing a son. I had to put him down 5 years ago, and it still brings me to tears. I have his ashes in a nice wooden box with a gold nameplate on it in my living room, so he can still watch over everything.

sorry to here that brother.
we lost both of ours. one several years ago, the other a couple years. they were rescue dogs on the block for being put down. they are family and are missed when they're gone.

i rem lo0ng ago when you posted pics. She was your baby. Im sorry to hear. I have 2 dogs. Both are my best friends for 13,14 years now. My female is dying though, she has an enlarged heart. Regardless you did your job by loving her and giving her a good home, its all you can do.

My male is named after my best friend who drank himself to death at 48.
Go get another one afetr you feel better.

Sorry for your lost. Like you I have no kids so I consider my 2 dogs my girls. I've lost a few pets over the years so I know how you feel. It will get better.
