I have been on trt for almost a year now. i take 140mg of test cyp per week. 2 weeks ago i went to make an appt with my dr to refill my prescription and get my yearly labs done. The secretary informs me that he is no longer doing HRT. I was shocked due to the fact that he was clearly on it(about 70 years old and ripped) and super gung ho about it. I asked why and she wasnt sure. I have left multiple messages for him to call me and give me some insight and i have not heard back from him. Im now out of my test and not sure what to do. I live in a remote area and cant for see finding another dr easily and with out paying an arm and a leg to get approved for it again. My levels were 386 when i started. Im fine with going off of it for awhile and seeing how i feel. I have never taken hcg, would u reccommend that i get some and go from there? tks everybody.

I doubt you'll get your natural level up to where you'd feel well. I've been in the same boat, and I had to hunker down and find a new doc wherever I could so I'd suggest you find a doc asap. HCG may help a little, but it won't replace what you've been taking as HRT.

I don't understand how it's ethical to treat a patient with hormones then all the sudden tell them they're shit out of luck without even giving a referral to a new dr to continue treatment! So many things can go wrong with the human body not just physically but also mentally when you just discontinue hormone treatment. It makes zero sense to me! It's really really fucked up when u think about it!

my thoughts is the lawsuits. he still works there just doesnt do trt. Presser, my feelings are really similar to yours. the guy told me this is for life and got me going. so when i went back in 2 weeks ago i was blown away. Seems like the only way for me to talk to the guy is make an apt, but i dont want to pay the money for him to tell me what i already know. Im thinking about ordering some test cyp off of a link on here(purity source labs) and just rolling with that untill i can talk to the dr or find another one. Is the stuff from purity pretty legit? tks

My Dr booted me and everyone else in December of 2012... Really sucks... I haven't done the leg work and all that to find another guy. I'm not crashing again just so they can do blood work and say "oh ya, you're F-ed up, you need Testosterone. I've been on TRT since 2007.

I'm going through this very thing right now. In my case because of a cross country move. You may want to look up LowTestosterone.com; ask about their fly-in program, not sure what it's called. But they'll fly you to a doc in their network and set you up. You'll have to visit that doc a couple times a year, I think. I may be doing that when I start back up, but meanwhile I am going to stay off it for a while. To that end I took Tamoxifen for 4 weeks to help recover from the sudden stop. And I did just what you are thinking of, picked up some test cyp from a different source I learned about here. I may just do that going forward without benefit of a doc. Less expensive, less hassle....

Tks the insight. Anybody done any ordering from any of these links on here? I noticed they have weird ways to pay, atleast for us americans.

Dude, what's hanging you up from getting trt? Shouldn't there be at least one doc within an hour of you that realizes if you've been on since 2007 you're not going back off (and plus you have medical records to substantiate that claim), and will just write you a script and adjust dosage according to bloods. Yeah, it would be a pain because he may start you on a lower dose, but if you really did need extra as in the 200mg range, he should put you there.

Maybe that's asking too much of most doctors.

I agree with fstr....
The fact that you've been on TRT will actually help you to get back on it with another Dr.
Simply ask your current Dr for a copy of your medical records so that you can take them to a new Dr, and you'll be in like Flynn.
(unless of course you wanted to take a break)
That said, you should still ask your Dr for a copy of your records. It's your right as the patient to have this information, so you shouldn't have a problem.
Good luck!

Yeah, this is what I was trying to say.

New Dr wants blood tests... So I would have to get down to what dose to get to what level they find acceptable? And then they would believe what I tell them I'm dosing? Nope. They want me to crash (they are assuming that I no longer use test as I don have a current script) and then get tests and go through the whole series of tests every three months to determine a dose... I'm just not willing to put my body through that right now...

Crashing or coming off after that long is gonna suck. That HCG should help and backing it down slowly.. like raysd21 suggests I wish I had that help after my first cycle lol

I'm almost a month off trt now, just under 4 weeks. I took 10 mg Tamoxifen every day for almost all of that time. I don't have bloodwork to look at but surprisingly the crash wasn't as bad as I thought (I had a pretty rough week or so), and I feel pretty good now. I go for bloodwork in another 35 or so days, so it'll be a while before I can report actual numbers. I was real close to you when I started: 395. I'll do my best to keep you posted as I go along.
