I love using straps when I lift. But, I only use them on certain days and only on my heaviest sets. Back day and on some lateral movements on shoulder day. I use them on arm day ONLY when doing heavy hammer curls. I use shieck straps that have a pin in the end of them that will not allow them to slip off. Way better than the regular ones. Whats your take on straps? To me, they are a must for anyone wanting to take their training to the next level.....
 
I have them, but never use them. The only time I ever used them before was on heavy shrugs, but anymore I just do more reps and lighter weight because I feel I get more out of them
 
I used to use straps all the time and now i cut back. My grip has improved so much now i only use them when my forearm is hurting.
 
Unfortunately I need to wear straps due to a cut wrist tendon and artery 15 yrs ago that is now a ball of tendon due to scar tissue and made me lose grip strength and ISA bitch when I used to hang and weld heavy stainless piping at work..Never used the sheiek before just the standard 2in web cheeps cause I like to lose them..
 
I only wear straps on back day. I can only go really heavy on back if I use straps so I really should work on my grip strength and not be dependent on them.
 
I always use lifting straps for just about everything on back day and any pulling movements. I have bad tendinitis in one elbow and it kills my grip. I overhand row 275lbs with straps for 12 without I'm luck to get 185lbs, pretty sad.
 
Only used them on back days for pretty much everything. My grip has always sucked and I usually try to go for little higher reps and I had to have them. Had acouple of pairs break on me on deadlifting 465 and 405. Pretty scary but didn't get hurt.
