Hey guys, I was hoping someone here can give ma a little information. I was diagnosed with secondary hypogonadism, hypopituitarism. This was after I was on trt injections for about 4 months. The first three months I had 200 mg every 30 days and then I had a couple of 200 mg doses every 14 days. I had my T, lh, and fsh tested on day 14 before my next injection and they both tested at almost none... .1 or .01(I don't remember). My doctor automatically attributed this to hypopituitarism. I don't know if he tested the hypothalamus hormones, but I'm concerned for another reason. I'm wondering if my lh and fsh were so low because I was already on therapy for a few months. What I'm wondering is if trt injections shuts down the production of these hormones.
My testosterone tested at like 180 on the same blood test, so I was low and my body should have been trying to produce, but I'm concerned that the prior therapy may have shut down the cycle. I'm just concerned that I may have been misdiagnosed and that I may be missing something important.
I failed to mention that I was on the injections originally for low T, but didn't have any other hormones tested. A PA suggested it without sending me to an Endo. He really didn't know what he was doing.
