The latest BAD news on my knees torn acl and miniscus.....

Well most of you know I finaly got my MRI results on my right knee and the results were a torn ACL, and torn miniscus, and advanced arthritus, as well as a small mass in the knee.

Well finaly got to docotrs appointment today(family doctor) for a referel to see a specialist (orthopedist) to schedule surgery. Well my doctor told me I need a total knee replacement! This news coming today on my 35th fucking birthday. Unreal!

He said i could probably have a small surgery (scoped) for now which would buy a few more years with no pain and enable me to fully work legs and build the muscle back up, but all in all I 100% will definatly need a knee replacement, its not a matter of "IF" but a question of "WHEN"

Anyways I am going to go to the "Rothman" institute in the city (philly) i believe its where they do all the NFL players and baseball etc.. so hopefully they can just scope my knee and clean it out real well for now and buy me some good time until I need the knee replacement!

The worse part of this like mentioned above was this horrible news came on my GOSH Dang birthday,lol.

Well i will keep yall up to date, and i was told i will be fully functional again and able to work legs hard as ever and eventualy compete again, but dam man a new knee at 35 yrs old aint coo!

oh yeah the partial good news out of all this , I told my dr i started hgh, and he said it wasnt a bad idea and that he would read up on some study for me and pass it along to the specialist, and that the specialist might prescribe hgh for me as well, i guess its a ray of hope,lol

yeah thats what they say, the knne might be stronger then what GOD gave me to begin with, but the surgery and downtime, sucks ass, im not in my 20's anymore so the longer im out the longer it takes to build muscle, thats why im hoping the hgh helps repair and heal me alot alot alot faster!

ANyone know what kind of new knee to buy? i was thinking about a "yamaha" then someone said "Suzuki" makes a damn good knee for the money and "harley" has the best knee hands down,lmao. Thank GOD I have great Insurance, otherwise I am sure they would put a "Hyundai" knee in there,lol.

I am also paying a little out of pocket cash for "bionics" since my Insurance doesnt cover that.lol

Bionics huh. When I heard knee replacement I couldn't help but imagine you in the speedos with a walker with tennis balls on the bottom. LOL. Sorry to hear though. I know that sucks dude. If its any consolation my nuts are really shrunken right now. LOL. Hope the scope goes well.

Damn, Presser, that's tough news to hear birthday or not.

If I'm reading it correctly, you have not seen the orthopedist yet. Is that correct? If so, he might have a different opinion and may have some better news for you. There is a good chance of that happening, so don't stress out about it too much until you see him. Also, it's possible that you can go significantly longer on your repaired knee than your doc estimates. 35 is still young enough that you should heal well. Just take your time after surgery and don't push it too hard.

You'll also want to make sure that any gear has had plenty of time to clear out of your system before your surgery. Steroids can prolong healing and make injuries more likely during the healing process. I know it's tempting to stay on so you won't lose muscle while you're sidelined, but it's better for healing to wait until you're fully recovered to start again. I've gotten that lecture from two surgeons. Stay on the IGF and/or hGH while you're recovering - those will help.

I hope you're off the computer and getting a birthday present from your girl about now. I'm sure she has some ideas for things that will make you forget about your knee for a little while! Birthdays can't be all bad news. Oh, and don't forget to keep remembering that jt's nuts are small right now if that helps ...lol, crazy bastards!
