I'm currently 125 kg and I'm looking to drop 15 to 20 kg. I was thinking about going with reta. My plan was to do:
1 mg for the first 4 weeks
2 mg for the next 4 weeks
3 mg for the next 5 months
would that would that be a good strategy?

Hi @vasmeki

Reta is effective in a cutting cycle, but you need to dose right as follows:

Your Reta starting dose for your first month - 2mg/week
Early escalation: 2nd month - 4mg/week
Middle escalation: 3rd month - 6mg/week
Late escalation: 4th month - 9mg/week
Maintenance: 5th month plus - 12mg/ week.

You can check out UPsteroid for Reta and use the coupon code UP2026 for a discount on all orders.

Regards.

You're going to want to start out at 1-2 mg a week. Then you can gradually start increasing it. If you don't do that, you can get a lot of side effects.

Reta is definitely the GOAT. It's a triple agonist. You want to give it some time though to kick in. I would plan to run it 6-9 months.

I'm a big fan of RETA. Start at 2 mg a week then bump it up by 0.5 mg every 2-3 weeks until you get to 4 mg.

Bros, a lotta people will use tirzepatide since it's FDA approved. Retatrutide is not FDA approved yet. Maybe another year.

Do 1.5 mg a week for the first four weeks. Be a little patient with it, then you can gradually start increasing it. I will not exceed 3-4 mg in your situation.

Retatrutide is a different animal compared to Semaglutide or Tirzepatide because of that third receptor: the glucagon receptor agonist. While GLP-1 and GIP handle insulin secretion and gastric emptying, the glucagon component in Reta is what actually ramps up thermogenesis and hepatic fat oxidation.

For someone starting out, the mistake is jumping to high doses too fast. The 'sweet spot' for weight loss without losing significant lean mass is usually found between 2mg and 4mg weekly. I'd suggest starting at 1mg or 2mg (split into two doses, like Monday/Thursday) to assess your heart rate response. Glucagon agonists can slightly elevate resting heart rate, so you want to adapt to that baseline first.

Also, keep an eye on your hydration and electrolytes. Reta is so effective at suppressing appetite that guys often forget to drink enough water, leading to that 'flat' look and lethargy. If you're over 20% BF, 2-4mg weekly combined with a high-protein diet and 40 mins of LISS cardio will melt fat faster than almost anything else on the market right now. Don't chase the 12mg 'max dose' used in clinical trials unless you're a pro-level athlete with perfect bloodwork.
