So a friend of mine recently sent money through WU at a grocery store, and they said "You know the person this is going to, right??" I find this very odd as I have used the same store for the same purpose and they never have asked me that before, but I was there with him when they said that.
I feel this is a great discussion to get out for there customers.

*Are they allowed to pry into the services of the WU like this? Or is this some type of privacy issue?

I have to say i have always been asked this question, probably for the large amount of money going to some clearly unrelated person in a foreign country. Still dont think its ethical on the WU side though

They asked me if I knew the person. I guess with all the scams overseas ( EX: if you send me $500 I will send you your
$1,000,000 in winnings) I have just said,yes,its for my wife's family. That satisifies them.

We have a huge Latino population here who are the primary users of wu. Sending money home and etc. They never get questioned but this guy does. Guess if you send anywhere other than south you're now suspect.
