Approved Log Competition Prep Cycle Log - One Last Run at Competing

I hit the wall today mid-way through my Back workout. I ended it early to avoid over training knowing Back is my favorite body part to work.
I started with Smith Machine Rows, Underhand-Grip Lat Pulldowns, and ended with Seated Cable Pulley Rows.
I'll do Light Cardio tomorrow and see how my recovery is going.
My kids are both coming home on Saturday to celebrate Father's Day with me. I'll definitely take Saturday off and pick back up on Sunday.

My wife and kids surprised me with a whale watch on Saturday followed by a nice (clean) Lobster Dinner. Sunday my wife made us breakfast and cooked on the grill for dinner. I had a small brownie with a glass of milk after. I hit the gym once everyone left and did Chest with all heavy dumbbell work followed by 60 minutes on the treadmill for eating the brownie. I took today off to recharge.
Living in the Northeast close to the ocean has its perks. I’ve always used fish as one of my main sources of protein.
 
I just had a great Back workout using mostly dumbbells. I’m going to start using them more often now, with Legs the only exception. I’m pulling out the clippers with the hopes of having my wife take some pics soon. I’m fired-up about my training this week!

My prep is getting real now. I was too weak to weight train because of yesterday’s back workout, so I did 60 minutes on the treadmill. The only carbs I had today was a banana with my post cardio shake. I’ll start tomorrow off with oatmeal. My abs are coming in and the love handles are almost gone. Arms and calves tomorrow. Im looking forward to legs on Friday. I pulled out the old posing trunks and they still fit. My wife is going away for a few days and will take pics when she returns. Entry fees are a lot higher than I expected. I’m going to need a second job to pay for all this. LOL. I plan to do 55+ and the Opens in 3 shows, Sep 20th, Oct 4th, and a Pro/Am Oct 18th.
