Elbows. When they bother me, everything hurts. Low and heavy and light
with high reps. Anything you guys do? Ice, heat, over the counter???
Anything that has worked for you. Thanks

I used to get tendonitis in my elbows so badly that I had to stop doing skullcrushers a while back. It may be that you'll have to stop doing whatever exercise is causing it for you. I've found that by doing slower, controlled movements, that I have been able to keep from getting it from other tricep exercises.

Compression sleeves work wonders...
this is what I was thinking. ive used things like this for wrist problems and once as a brace when I damn near broke my ankle. They work pretty well.

Short range motion exercises. Decrease the total movement of your existing exercise on the negative. Bench for example. Use a power rack or any other rack that has a cross bar. Set the cross bar 5 inches below your start point and do 6 sets with moderatelyheavy weight. All the focus will be on your ligaments and tendons increasing strength. It's best to incorporate this in to your existing routine. Every week, lower the bar 3-4 inches until you eventually hit your chest. Same goes for squats, shoulder press and skull crushers. Good system that works well. Muscle develops at a much quicker rate then ligament and tendons, so we get strong too fast and pay for it in the end.

Ask your Dr about prolo injections. Its a sugar water that breaks up the scar tissue which cause tendonitus. I had it done to my knees

I've heard good things about prolo, but just can't get myself to pay $1000.00 for someone to inject me with sugar water. My insurance doesn't cover it and that's what the cost is here. Only 4 doctors to choose from and they all charge the same thing.

I use ibuprofen gel on shoulder and elbows before excercise/workouts. Ice afterwards and some anti inflams. Keep the area strong, use short controlled excercises.
This kept me away from shoulder surgery for 8 years of pro beach volley. Good luck.

Has anyone had ultra sound therapy? I just bought a machine on recommendation of one of the strenght trainers at my gym. Will let you know how it works....
