Weird Gel in test mix

I had this question ask of me yesterday and want to see if any of you have heard of this.

A friend of mine said that he had several bottles of test 400 gel on him. He said that it was a good source and that he had used this for years but never had anything like this happen before.

Anyone have any ideas as to what could have caused this? I am at a loss.

Crashed due to not reaching its tie melting point long enough is my guess

Put a bowl of water in the microwave and heat it on high for 4 min then sit the vial in it for about a minute. Remove and shake vigorously, it should clear up and be ready to pin. If not put it back in the water for another cycle.

This ^^^works for me. I let pressure out once after and it re-pressuses once cool. Like a jar of fruit preserves.

yeah, I never heard of t400 pharmaceutical grade, but I have heard of crazy shit being made by compounding pharmacies which I guess would be considered pharm grade as well, although most compounding pharmacies make the shit just like the average home brewer does, and I have seen some seriously poor quality when wife and I were getting stuff through compounding pharmacy for Invitro fertilization treatments, and they used regular return address mail labels on their vials, and just printed one or two words in bold black on it, cheesiest shit I've ever seen, lol

but yeah I'm curious how t400 is Pharma grade

My mistake brothers... it wasn't bought at a Pharm.

What is crazy, it that I have used the same stuff and never had this problem before.
Some batches may have more or less solvent. Also it is getting colder which can cause that. On top of that high mg/ml concentrations are more likely to do it

Crashed into a gel? That's odd. I'd want to see a pic of that. If a test solution crashes, it should crystallize, not form a gel. Something weird going on there.

This is what I was thinking. I've had trst crystallize, especially when the weather got cold. Partially crystallize. In this case gently heating and shaking cleared it right up. But never seen nor heard of rubbery gel.
