Matt Porter has passed away. Matt was an outstanding bodybuilder and recently a contest prep coach. Everyone loved this guy. He will be missed. This is such a tragic loss.
I have a new respect for this guy. Great podcast with him!

Hello guys! New here but have been around various boards for a while. Was a member at TSC for many years before it closed down. Hope to learn and contribute as much as I can.
Hey everyone. New guy out of Myrtle Beach here. Been training for a years off and on, but didn’t get serious about it until the last year or so. With the help of some local friends I’ve made some decent progress in that time and just hoping to keep it going. If you want to know more just let me...
Never offer advice to anyone at the gym, except for two occasions:
.
• Someone asks for your advice.
.
• Someone's in imminent danger of serious injury or death.
.
So the next time you see someone squatting higher than what you deem acceptable, or smashing the bar against their sternum while...
Creating a Pro Bodybuilding Physique with George Farah
I’m going to take an example of a 200-pound guy who is planning to compete in a bodybuilding contest, or just wants to look good for the beach. How will we work on his diet and training?
• First, his daily caloric need will be based on his...

Training is the part we all love, in the muscle-building process. Diet is probably the part we like least. Diet is often times a drag. You can either have carbs or you have to make due with fat. You can either have salt or you have to make do with bland food. You can either drink a lot of water...
Yes I am old school, Yes, I like things better back in the late 70's, 80's and early 90's. I am not saying that I am correct, just giving my opinion. I remember when diuretics were outlawed after the death of a bodybuilder. I remember when Vince McMahan tried to go head to head with the IFBB...
There are a lot of strength tests out there, many unrealistic. But here's one that you and everyone else should be able to pass.

This time of year, a jean jacket is often exactly the right thing for a motorcycle ride. For YEARS, I have worn Lee jean jackets. My current one is probably at least 10 years old and getting raggedy. My wife ordered me a new one, same size (Large) - I will not address the reduced weight gabric...

What's Going On Here? Arnold Explains
In speaking and interviewing Arnold Schwarzenegger regularly since 1995 I never cease to be amazed by his recollections – Total Recall perhaps? -- of all aspects of his life and career. Nowhere is this more true than when he reflects on those iconic days...
Obey the Mirror Rules
by John Romano
It's an old-school rule that most people seem to have forgotten: If someone's going heavy, don't get between them and the mirror.
The mirror is sacred. The heavier the weight, the more sacred it gets. Not for vanity's sake, but as a tool. For many lifts...
