I have found that my legs grow way better with low to moderate weight at higher reps than they do with shit loads of weight and low reps. All heavy weight does is make my fckn knees hurt BAD!!!!! Not to mention I get a way better pump with low to moderate weight. Whats your preferance, Low to moderate weight or high weight with low reps???????

now days medium weight high reps, but i use to kill heavy weight and kind of wish i didnt, lol. I wish i had of used moderate heavy weight with high reps and seen if that would have did the trick and saved my knees at the same time, but we'll never know i guess, lol.

This is exactly why I do the moderate with high reps. I tore the cartlidge almost completely off my right knee cap when I was gymnst. I was on crutches for 2 mo. after that. Of course this was when I was Like 12 or 13 but it has always fckd wit me since. When I 1st started training I always went balls out but sometimes my knee would swell so bad I couldn't even bend it. But when I changed the way I lift I really started gettn gains and my knee was actualy gettn better. My legs have made huge improvments over the years, but have really exploded the last few months.

they left out the one that works, high weight - high reps.

yeah ofcourse it works, lol, but were talking about what to use to help save the knees and joints, so i realy dont think high heavy weight with high reps is a choice there daddio, lmao

If you're doing high reps then the weight isn't heavy.... at least for you.
What rep ranges are you guys referring to??

I used to always lift super heavy, must say a lot of it was my ego. I still go heavy, but I never go less than 8 reps. Closer to a show the weight lightens up and the reps go up a bit. My joints have taken a beating too so I try to keep that in mind when I'm training now. But that is just my opinion. I want to compete for at least another 15 years so I gotta train smart now, least that's what my husband always tells me. Already had a torn quad, torn pec and then the damn rotator cuff last year, do not want ANY more surgery.

I use to count reps.. But I think it mind fucks you. Because it is in your head that you going for 10. And that is when you want to stop.. So I stopes counting reps and I get alot better workout !!!
