I wish this stuff would get passed here already.
I know there are uneducated people that are against it, but for me personally I really wish I could use it instead of opiates as a result of a dozen years helping my community.

i dont smoke it anymore but im all for it being legalized

I'd eat it personally, but I never smoked it even when it was all around me, and I had no worry of a career testing or anything. I tried it a few times but never bought it or regularly did it.

You can buy it in my State and maybe I will send ya some cookies lol
Its become where its no big deal to see shops and grow factories.
I have noticed that people are more calm and willing to help in a lot of places
traffic still sucks but that's another story.
Its raised millions of dollars in revenue and keeping the Mexican Drug lord crap off our streets, because its legal to grow your own
or just walk into a shop and buy it.
I grew up not doing it much either and my job definitely didn't allow it, but now that its legal..its used as a commodity here. its even
on craigslist under Barter lol

yeah cause theres no EDUCATED people against it right, i mean obviously if your against weed then you must be uneducated, gimme a break!

As for "MEDICAL" aspect of it, I'm ok with that if it helps people in pain or with whatever ailment they might need it for, but it should be prescribed properly, and not at these bullshit pot shops, where anyone with half a brain can get a medical card for it.

So yeah Medical Weed, sure no issue with it, but not the way they're doing it now!

And recreational legalization, is absolute bullshit in my opinion, and i know all the arguments for it, so no need to try enlightening me, I've heard every argument already , and I simply am NOT for recreational legal weed period!

But again , no problem with Medical, its just too easy to get the way its set up now

lol Against it due to them being uneducated yes. Every argument I have heard is weak. People everywhere are on opiates which chemically acts like heroin aka much worse. I have really researched the medical benefits in the past, and it's pretty amazing. The fact that it helps against MRSA which is something very hard to counter is amazing in itself, let alone the other aspects.

The post is specifically Medical Marijuana. I agree. I don't like to make arguments like saying out of the 2 things it's better, but it is clearly better than having ppl on opiates, something I know very well from the hospitals I have worked at, pain clinic, and personal experience.
I agree there shouldn't be pot shops, it should be prescribed. I also wish ER's weren't currently abused for pain med seekers, but they all are. As with anything idiots will ruin it for everyone.
BC some people wanted to drive as fast as their cars would go speed limits were put in place, bc insane people could carry guns in the wild wild west, they put carry laws in place, bc people abuse morphine and codeine they have been taken out of the corner shops.
So in short no one can argue against you saying it would be abused, but tell me something that isn't abused, cheeseburgers are abused, ER's are abused, welfare is abused, unemployment is abused, personal businesses abuse things such as free kid care because they don't claim all the money they make etc etc.

Given I have chronic back pain I understand the use and even recreational side of it. Hell up here in Maple leaf country it's plenty available.

But what I really care about is its side effect on brain. In scientific studies it is shown to reduce grey matter in brain. Tho brain does compensate for it by increasing connections but overall you are still loosing "size".

Enough reason for me to make my decision.

I just seen that new study, and yes weed smoking effects the decision making part of the brain…permanently!!! Not good!

Yes Opiates are the worse thing that has ever happened to this country period! And I would be all for Legalizing Recreational Weed if i didn't think it was a gateway drug which could and does lead to use of much more addictive drugs like opiates, so I'm against all of it!

Opiates are pure evil period! The main oxycontin manufacturer was sued a while back because they were stating as fact that oxycontin wasn't addictive lol, Can you fucking Imagine that! lol, The nerve of these pricks to tell doctors its non addictive so they prescribe it much more frequently! Pain Pills are more rampant then heroic across this country! its fucked up!

I was prescribed 150mcgs fentanyl patches for my back, and was told they weren't addictive, when come to find out that shit was as addictive as they come! Worse thing i have ever done to my body was use pain medicines like this!! They are horrible and should be outlawed for everyone unless your on your death bed dieing of cancer or something, but anything short of being on ur death bed, then there is no good reason to prescribe people fentanyl patches, or Oxycontin!

BigPharma knows exactly where most of their sales of Oxycontin is winding up…in the hands of recreational drug users, and they continue to sell this garbage!

Presser- I think you should tell us how you "Really" feel.. LMAO
I agree with you guys, its completely legal here and people trade it like its a common agricultural product.
Plus it smells like weed everywhere you go downtown.

I wish it were legal here. I used to smoke, now I don't for job reasons. I get anxiety and obviously like most of you pretty bad body pains from injuries. I like to smoke a bowl before going to bed relaxes me let's my anxiety go and kinda eases the pain before going to sleep.

I don't know how much credibility that has. My Dad has Smoked weed for over 40 years and still answers 98.9% of Jeopardy questions correctly before the question is done being read, on every episode I have ever seen him watch. As well as many other very intelligent traits that he has, so IDK about that.

And that also brings up the topic of -- Why aren't cigarettes illegal. It kills your capillaries, it can lead to Alzheimers, it causes artery calcification, COPD, CHF, and guess what kids smoke them, trade them, sell them, they smell like shit, On a nice day you have your window down as you drive you have to smell it, you have to smell it going into buildings (restaurants, grocery stores, book stores, colleges) they have this is found in them:

  • Acetone – found in nail polish remover
  • Acetic Acid – an ingredient in hair dye
  • Ammonia – a common household cleaner
  • Arsenic – used in rat poison
  • Benzene – found in rubber cement
  • Butane – used in lighter fluid
  • Cadmium – active component in battery acid
  • Carbon Monoxide – released in car exhaust fumes
  • Formaldehyde – embalming fluid
  • Hexamine – found in barbecue lighter fluid
  • Lead – used in batteries
  • Naphthalene – an ingredient in moth balls
  • Methanol – a main component in rocket fuel
  • Nicotine – used as insecticide
  • Tar – material for paving roads
  • Toluene - used to manufacture paint.

It would be nice if the marijuana could come in a capsule (it would be a measurable dose than too), as smoking anything is bad for you, and they outlawed Cig's.

That is insane, because those patches are serious, and insane about the oxy being said to be non-addictive is ridiculous! Your body is physically dependent after less than 2 weeks. Come off them cold turkey and you will have the sweats, the shakes, diarrhea etc, not pretty

The Psychology of this is odd to me to (when a simple comparison is made)
Guns Vs Marijuana
Some of the same people that think the Govt has too much say on our day to day lives has no issue with marijuana being heavily regulated.
A knife is a gateway weapon, shit I had 1 when I was a kid, than had 12 knives, than a BB gun, than a Pellet gun, then a Revolver, than a rifle than an AR, and an arsenal now, should knives be illegal in any fashion other than a steak knife, or for cooking? No. Hell No. Fuck No. And I don't want to give up my weapons, and won't.

The Democracy is odd too--
The majority vote should be it right? Democracy kind of makes sense right? Well in Florida, a lot more people voted for it than against it. However it wasn't enough, I mean I know we have had 4 Presidents that didn't get more popular votes but were still put in office, but majority should rule.

My personal reason is to have a better alternative for chronic pain meds, however a good friends Mom has Fibromyalgia, and claims marijuana is the only thing that helps. Good family, a nice house, cars, pay their taxes, contributes to the community, however if she were to be caught with marijuana it could be very very bad for them.

It's a shame that yes every single thing will be abused, but that to me doesn't mean outlaw it,
UNLESS
you strongly agreed with Prohibition (alcohol is all the things people say are negative with marijuana, bad for you, heavily abused, bad for your brain, kids get their hands on it, it could be considered a gateway drug) and you could also strongly agree that the Govt should have more say in our every day lives (which I personally disagree with both of those things) I can't see that point of view, and can not agree with it.

That being said I think the majority vote should account for something, and the reason why I wanted to bring up the topic, so I know this is easily turned into a screaming match, but it should not be taken that way or turned into that. We should be able to discuss the topic without branching out to try to demonize it. You have a personal preference for or against it, or you are undecided bc you don't know which way to think on it yet, or there are as many bad things as good things about it in your eyes. That being said I think it is commendable that Presser takes a stand against opiates bc his personal experience and knowledge.

I have never understood why it is illegal. Makes zero sense to me.

It was LEGAL TO PAY TAXES WITH HEMP in America from 1631 until the early 1800s and REFUSING TO GROW HEMP in America during the 17th and 18th Centuries WAS AGAINST THE LAW! You could be jailed in Virginia for refusing to grow hemp from 1763 to 1769.
It was 1 of 3 of George Washington's main crops, and was actually made illegal for completely different reasons than the opposing factors. Hemp was going to be largely used instead of paper bc it's cost savings, and the people in the paper business did not like that, there were several other businesses that would be effected but that's one. There was a different thing called marihuana in Mexico that was used as a scare tactic to get rid of hemp. (I believe it was Hearst and Dupont that were the main people behind that, and stood to make the most money by it being made illegal)

lmao, its called Science bro! Let me weigh this,….. your dad can answer jeopardy questions high versus Scientific Brain Scans Showing Weed kills part of the brain.

I think I will go with the science, lol, no offense to rain man over there lol,
