i'm starting this thread hopefully to help others who are on trt (testosterone replacement therapy) or are considering it. maybe other can give me insight about their usage as well. basically you have three options of treating low test. ingestibles usually aren't recommended, except with women. you can use sustanon, enanthate, or cypionate. some doctors if you're prescribed trt may add deca in the mix. i've added it to my own personal treatment for some time. in general many of you here have use steroids before and have suffered with the crash of coming off gear when competing or just ending a cycle. for me it hasn't been an option. i had a decline in natural test for many years since i was 50. never did steroids before and was looking into getting treatment for it without much success, until i finally researched on my own and began using steroids when i was 58. i did a lot of research before i ever pinned the first time. i had experience with using pins and syringes being in the medical field for some time. pinning was not bad at all when i first started and what was suppose to be just for trt ended up being my first cycle as well. i can not say my experience is any different than anyone else's, but6 if you have not started, at least do research on the matter. many of you may be getting up in age and will find the need for trt is a benefit. this is a personal choice, so don't jump in without knowledge for anyone new to steroids. i will give you my experience with trt, which maybe somewhat different from others due to my physical problems that have arisen over time. everyone is different.

i'm on trt and have been so since i was 58. i am 66 now and still using gear for mainly trt purposes. i began this venture because i couldn't get the help i needed through the VA. i make my own gear and follow recipes from this site still. i've ran cycles as well on this journey with varying results. i've also used several different steroids. some i liked a lot more than others, of course.

now as far as trt goes, i run mine a bit high. i just feel better with a higher level than just being in the ball park. so for maintenance i use sus with deca. i run 250 mg/200mg twice a week, unless i know my primary might be taking a look at my test levels when i go in for blood work. then i ease off a bit. i take ancillaries for side effects. i use finesteride and clomid with some adex and prami. i heard nolvadex is a better option than clomid.

now you all need a little back story on my journey. i'm a marine and was considerably contaminated with chemicals in the water at lejuene. like many others who are in the same boat i am, we have multiple medical conditions. one of the most prominent ones i have is multiple chemical sensitivities. these include perfumes/fragrances, as well as a wide spectrum of other petro-chemical product. it also happens that i have very severe side effects to many medicines which i believe the contamination is the cause. i say this, because many people are contaminating themselves with petrochemicals with regular use of everyday products, such as colognes, perfumes, soaps, shampoos, toothpaste, drinking from plastic or heating items in the microwave in plastic ands so forth. it's hard to get away from them.

needless to say i've tried several medications for high blood pressure, ed, urine flow, and pain. all due to getting older and having the symptoms of being contaminated to deal with. i can not take any blood pressure meds, nor ed/urine flow meds. they all create bad side effects for me. amlodipine or other similar blood pressure meds have given me problems with tendons, ligiments, cartiage, and even my fingernails. whether this is due to the waters from lejuene or the med itself. although i recently had a doctor confirm it does affect those parts of the body. she was the only one.

anyways, i'm iterating the meds part, because i firmly believe they also interfere with trt and gear in general. now most of these problems may be due to my contamination. i'm putting it here so others who might be experiencing side effects with gear when they take medicines or even drink are aware the possibility is there.

i am on fentanyl and codeine for pain in my shoulder/rotator cuff and my lumbar spine. i have a pinched nerve in my spine as well as degenerative disc disease. and since i began using them my pins of gear have become more painful. also depending on the meds i have tried i get different results from pinning. sometimes with a rather large knot that takes a few days to dissipate. there may be other causes as to the pins being so painful. so i'm still researching that part.
it could just be the short esters in the sus, or maybe my bb and ba are too old.
the pins seem to be the only thing affected by using gear for trt. i will say that since i've starting using fentanyl, i've dramatically loss most of the fat on my body. i'm not recommending use, i'm just noting that my definition has certainly come out as well as veins. i do think it interferes with steroid use though.

i also have had to have a heart cath done and had a piece cut out to stop afib. i do not account this to steroid use as everything else was fine.

if anyone has input that is helpful for this discussion, i will certainly be grateful for the information.

@pgb I'm a huge advocate for cleaning up the environment and getting rid of these horrible chemicals. I am well aware of the camp lejeune fiasco and there are thousands of other examples of that. we do a piss poor job of taking care of our environment in the name of greed and its both sad and pathetic. we really have to be aware of what we can control in our life. i tell people all the time always check under your sinks and look at all the toxic crap you keep in your house. also people are very ignorant who spray their homes and around their homes with pesticides and herbicides. these are very dangerous chemicals that do not belong anywhere near us

@pgb welcome back brother what dose of TRT they got you on? and your base stats/
hey there brother. nice to be back. been really busy and have medical problems. i'm not working with a physician for trt. as i wrote i am doing my own trt, because i could not get a doctor to allow me to have it. this was even when i tested a low of 200 ng/dl. he had it rerun by another lab and said it was 319 and that was within normal limits. that was my last straw for trying to get help and i decided to do my own research about it. i read a whole lot of information as well as asked a lot of question on here.

right now i make my own gear and am running 125 mg sus twice a week. i'm on prescription fentanyl for pain and have 30 mg codeine tablets for break through pain. i think the meds interfere with the pin. they stay painful for a few days. although, i've considered whether or not my bb and ba are too old causing the problem. i'll buy some fresh and test that out.

if i were to get a doctor to address low t for me it'd be better, but they usually only prescribe the cypionate ester, which makes my eye water and nose run badly. i guess the plus is i don't have full test flu, lol. i have a lot of medicines i can't take due to severe side effects.
so for now, i'm doing testing to see what makes pinning worse and what helps. i've only told a urologist that i'm using gear and finasteride. he gave me a script for the fin. i think he ignored the gear.

my last blood work came back at 450 ng/dl total test. i was on test e and deca up to a month before testing, then switched to npp/tp up to 10 days before labs. i was on a little higher dose at the time and ran the npp/np at 100 mg each twice a week. i use the nandrolone to help cushion my joints, but some of the meds the doctor gives me cause problems with joints, connective tissue, and muscles. so i don't take them, because they're doing more damage than good.

i don't do yoga very well. i do physical therapy and flexibility work the best i can. i have a pinched nerve in my lumbar which affects L4/L5/S1. also my rotator cuff is torn up bad along with the shoulder joint needing replaced. so i'm limited trying to rehab it. i'm waiting for VA outsource to approve surgery again for my spine. i had a problem with my heart and had to cancel the first scheduled surgery.

@pgb

test cyp is prescribed mostly in the USA. you can ask them for test E
also ask for a different brand. a little communication goes a long way.
its the oils in the gear that is bothering you and the way you figure that out is taking some benadryl with it.

now as far as trt goes, i run mine a bit high. i just feel better with a higher level than just being in the ball park. so for maintenance i use sus with deca. i run 250 mg/200mg twice a week, unless i know my primary might be taking a look at my test levels when i go in for blood work. then i ease off a bit. i take ancillaries for side effects. i use finesteride and clomid with some adex and prami. i heard nolvadex is a better option than clomid.

now you all need a little back story on my journey. i'm a marine and was considerably contaminated with chemicals in the water at lejuene. like many others who are in the same boat i am, we have multiple medical conditions. one of the most prominent ones i have is multiple chemical sensitivities. these include perfumes/fragrances, as well as a wide spectrum of other petro-chemical product. it also happens that i have very severe side effects to many medicines which i believe the contamination is the cause. i say this, because many people are contaminating themselves with petrochemicals with regular use of everyday products, such as colognes, perfumes, soaps, shampoos, toothpaste, drinking from plastic or heating items in the microwave in plastic ands so forth. it's hard to get away from them.

needless to say i've tried several medications for high blood pressure, ed, urine flow, and pain. all due to getting older and having the symptoms of being contaminated to deal with. i can not take any blood pressure meds, nor ed/urine flow meds. they all create bad side effects for me. amlodipine or other similar blood pressure meds have given me problems with tendons, ligiments, cartiage, and even my fingernails. whether this is due to the waters from lejuene or the med itself. although i recently had a doctor confirm it does affect those parts of the body. she was the only one.

anyways, i'm iterating the meds part, because i firmly believe they also interfere with trt and gear in general. now most of these problems may be due to my contamination. i'm putting it here so others who might be experiencing side effects with gear when they take medicines or even drink are aware the possibility is there.

i am on fentanyl and codeine for pain in my shoulder/rotator cuff and my lumbar spine. i have a pinched nerve in my spine as well as degenerative disc disease. and since i began using them my pins of gear have become more painful. also depending on the meds i have tried i get different results from pinning. sometimes with a rather large knot that takes a few days to dissipate. there may be other causes as to the pins being so painful. so i'm still researching that part.
it could just be the short esters in the sus, or maybe my bb and ba are too old.
the pins seem to be the only thing affected by using gear for trt. i will say that since i've starting using fentanyl, i've dramatically loss most of the fat on my body. i'm not recommending use, i'm just noting that my definition has certainly come out as well as veins. i do think it interferes with steroid use though.

i also have had to have a heart cath done and had a piece cut out to stop afib. i do not account this to steroid use as everything else was fine.

if anyone has input that is helpful for this discussion, i will certainly be grateful for the information.
this is a really good story man. seems like you got a lot of stuff going on.
best thing you can do is turn this into a log. this way you can improve yourself and help others

don't get it wrong brother, i got depressed, angry at God and a slew of other feelings. i'm still in a whole lot of pain even with meds. i just started what's called battlefield acupuncture where they put needles in the ear to help alleviate pain. they fall out after a bit and need replaced once a month. also having acupuncture to help with the trouble spots. so far, not so good. this is all outsourced through the VA or i wouldn't be able to do it.

bros that awesome

i don't do yoga very well. i do physical therapy and flexibility work the best i can. i have a pinched nerve in my lumbar which affects L4/L5/S1. also my rotator cuff is torn up bad along with the shoulder joint needing replaced. so i'm limited trying to rehab it. i'm waiting for VA outsource to approve surgery again for my spine. i had a problem with my heart and had to cancel the first scheduled surgery.
maybe try some old people yoga. it is much more gentle
that is good you got the VA access. it would cost you a fortune otherwise

i just don't get trt provided, because when i was low enough, the doctor at the time decided he wanted it ran again by another lab on the same blood. when he did, he said it came back at 319, which was above the 300 ng/dl limit and i didn't qualify. that's when i decided i'd have to do it myself, because i was miserable and knew what the problem was. so did my research and began my own trt. i'm glad i did.

trt is the cheapest thing to worry about. a vial of test will last you a long time and costs like $70

been out a few days. as i've written before i have medical problems and need one surgery for certain to fuse my vertebra at l4,l5,s1. i've been scheduled twice now and it's been postponed both times. the first time was due to my heart acting up. i was in a-fib and didn't even know it. so i had three caths done. one in my wrist through the radial artery and two in my groin through the venae cavae looking for blockages and clots. needless to say i had a piece in my heart they needed to cut out, which stopped the a-fib. they put me on more meds which caused me more bad side effects than did me any good. through the course of meds they gave me i ended up with another episode of bleeding. it was a lot of blood. needless to say i took myself off those meds as well. that's fourth time they've given me meds that caused me to bleed profusely. this time it lower my red blood count so low that when i went in for testing for surgery again they canceled the surgery because of extremely low blood counts.

anyways, with the use of the meds they want me to use which cause me severe side effects, i quit taking them all except finesteride and pain meds. it took some time to clear them well enough to be able to run gear without severe pip. this is all due to the water contamination from lejuene that isn't being considered by the cmc or admiral of the navy as legitimate.

since i was able to determine why i was getting such horrible pip, i've changed my regimen for trt. the lower dose wasn't as favorable to my wellbeing, so i've increased it top what i was using. i don't think it has put me over the high limit, but it might be close.

my current dosage is 200mg deca/250mg sus x2/wk. been pinning lats of late, since quads and glutes were being more painful. that may have been due to all the meds the va kept trying on me that did more harm than good.

trying to get my blood counts up, but at least it wasn't low enough to get a transfusion. it's caused me considerable fatigue, but i started doing some exercises/workouts just the same. i bear with the pain and work around the injuries as best as i can.
i know i'm using a higher dose for trt purposes, but everyone is different, so test yourself to see what you think is best for yourselves if you're not under a doctors care for it. always do your research and know your body. my situation is not like most, unless you happen to have been at lejuene during the period of time they consider for being contaminated or any other base that may fall into that category.
