My DNP Journey

Well I was running late on things. Work was kinda a chaotic mess. Minds being changed with plans and when metal needs reworked it means a hot torch, lots of grinding, and rewelding.

Well I was playing catch up and missed my interval time to drink my water for a few hours. I was light headed, had headache, and when I urinated it was like clouds of metabolized stuff swirling in the water. Well needless to say I knew right away to get my ass drinking water again. I chugged half a gallon down then continued with 32 oz every 15 minutes. Just missing 5 hours of drinking fluids in a warm situation did it.

I recovered fine. I had my potassium, magnesium, and salt packets ready. I just got into deep focus with my work and time flew by before I noticed.

So learning lesson here. Do not skip drinking fluids while doing this. Had it been warmer outside without our breeze today I probably would have noticed sooner as the sweat on my head typically fogs my safety glasses up and I'm constantly wiping off my face. But good breeze and in the 30s and it was simple to miss the signs.

Today I drank 6 gallons total. Really insane to think the amounts being lost but it is a fact. My body temp has remained about 100 even the entire duration. But I'm guessing today it went higher during the dehydration period.

WARNING details.

I try to urinate on the sides do I don't form bubbles and can see the colors and clarity during this as urine us the first sign for fat loss and dehydration.

Ketone strip has been dark in color each time at 160. I forget the measurement chart details but it is high. I'm ready for Sunday my last day. Tomorrow is supposed to be fasted cardio but I'm contemplating. Probably just kettle bell cause running just doesn't sound good anymore.

For me the worst side effect was no energy. I mean just walking downstairs was a chore. The sweating like a pig. i would never do it again.

lmao, i hear ya brutha, and for the record, running never ever sounded good to me, and I can't believe your taking in and losing that much fluid daily, it is as you said Insane!

sounds good bro eager to hear, you should be pissing away the rest of that water weight about now.

A very late recap. I was laid off right at the end of my DNP run. I was sent out to a remote area of Alaska where internet bandwidth was shared and restricted. End of the season as winter is coming I am back to civilization.

The cycle in my mind was a success. During it many asked me if I was alright. Holding water was my worse side effect. I felt puffy and inflamed. The sweat was to be expected and it was there. I was glad I did it during the cooler climate season. I can 100% see the dangers of this. If taken without the right preparations it could lead to dangerous situations in regards to dehydration and heat stroke. I had my gallon jugs ready and cool for me. But even when necessary warm water was even better than nothing.

I began at 230 I filled with water immediately bloated up.
As it progressed I could feel the lagging, the weakness. I pushed through it trying not to change my normal life. Why? I wanted progress on what I was doing. Not to be limited and have minimal outcome.

My final weight after the 3 weeks of DNP with the 1 week to deflate the water weight was 216.

I could see more definition. My BF % with 2 separate devices averaged taken at the beginning and end at the same times showed a solid decrease. 230 @ 22.5% to 216 @ 18.8% Roughly 12 lbs fat lost and 2 lbs lean. (I'm thinking this was mostly the water.)

So a little math to the numbers and effects.
12 lbs of fat lost.
12x3500 cal per pound
42000 calories burned.
14000 per week.
2000 per day extra burned off.

A tough number to fathom.

A good progress in the right direction. It beat the hold up I was having at 230.

My sub notes.

It zaps your energy. If I didn't push through all of the times I wanted to become at one with the couch I know my results would have been much less. While DNP does increase metabolic rate though uncoupling it doesn't make it an easy out to cut weight. If I had sad down with this and just slacked off on my training it would have been just another blip on my downward line graph. I believe it also helped me to not lose as much lean mass during this phase. Hydration was another factor. Maybe I drank more fluids than I needed to. But my urine showed different.

This winter I plan to do a continuance and move further. I'm focused more on the resistance now and gaining my lean mass. I want to have a bigger motor to burn the fuel off.

I want to get to 3% body fat for a short bit. Mainly to detox as we know that fat can hold toxins for many years and then it will make 8-12% hold seem like a much simpler number to maintain.

Till then. That was my results. Extremely positive results with the perseverance and common sense in use.

dude thats a great log, thank you. but you wanna get down to 3% bf?? is that what ur saying? thats dangerous even without using dnp.

Yeah I want to just get to a low point then rebound a bit. It is just for the detox. As I have lost weight I have changed multiple jobs. One job I was suppose to go to was in Antarctica. It had all kinds of tests from built up body toxins, physical abilities, to dental assessment and psychological assessment. In my tox and cancer screening the amount of toxins stored in fat that you have carried for years is insane. A person who stays low level cycles through it. But when you have been over 30% BF for any duration of your life you are holding onto the toxins.

I don't want to hold 3%. I just want to touch it and come back to normal levels. Purge my system in a way. I will also have more lean mass to help that number out more. Of course if I strive for 3% and never touch it at least I aimed farther for a decent 8-10%
