Gaining Problems

Ok guys, I have been using Glutamine/Creatine for a little over a year and have been eating mostly clean. For the past 6 months, my weight will NOT budge over 242lbs. Now, I used to use just creatine back in my mid twenties and got up to 300lbs plus. At that time, I could easily maintian 270lbs hard and clean. I eat better now and know more and workout much better. Is this my age factor?? Do I need more glutamine?? Why is it that I could easily get to 275 lbs before but now I cant budge for 6 months??
Maybe my metabolism has gotten faster, so now Im going to heavily up the calories and try to eat more beef but by the eveing if I must, then Ill throw in junk. I just need to slow this monster metabolism down.
Any thoughts would be appreciated
 
What's your caloric intake look like? And what DID it look like when you were younger? You'd think that your metabolism would've slowed down with age, but there's a hidden factor somewhere, we just have to find it
 
Maybe your test levels were extremely high in your 20s now they are of course less and you need supplementation hrt..

Breakfast, I have a shake with 30 grams whey, 4 whole eggs and 1 cup oatmeal and one bananan.
About 2-3 hrs later, I have a full meal with a large portion of chicken/fish/beef and at least 40 grams of a carb, like potatoe or oat bread.
I have about 2-3 more meals just like that.
On workout days, Ill have a shake with my workout.
At night I have a decent meal about 2 hrs before bed and right before bed, I have 40 grams casein
*** Years before, I did not eat this much. I ate poorly and ate whenever and whatever. Maybe im eating to clean???
 
41. I'm thinking about eating a meal in the morning instead of the shake and coming off coffee. Coffee seems to def decrease my appetite for part of the day. I'm going to take my caloric intake way up this fall. Any other ideas are appreciated
 
Add in some good fats and maybe take your meal every 3-4 hours for a couple weeks. Eating your meals close together speeds up your metabolism so maybe throwing them back an hour might help slow it down and give your body a little shock. Do you have any cheat meals/days?

Killing the coffee is a great idea, I know it kills my appetite for hours on end in the mornings! The I take an eca stack and sometimes ill go til about 5-6 pm without even eating a meal, sad but true. As it is i only eat maybe one solid meal and then some shakes or bullshit,lmao,

Also, ever consider you actually are carrying more muscle now, and therefore burning more efficiently, therefore requiring additional food intake??

I only weigh around 200lbs but just to maintain that I have to eat 5000 calories a day (not clean)...I wonder if that is the boat you are in??

Tks guys. I'm going to slowly wean off the caffeine and incorporate more dense caloric meals and throw in some junk. I'll PM Chris for his advice on Monday. I'm working three 12 hr days this weekend. I'm hoping this coming fall and winter, I'm able to put on a solid 20lbs.

well i guess ur working now then,lol, im sure it aint easy to eat working that much either, anyhow dropping the caffiene should help i would think

Yep. It's a total bitch. I have been doing good for a few weeks, but I just have to take a break. I'm constantly force feeding myself. Bagels and cream cheese, cheese eggs, Chik Fil A, lean ground beef, ravioli...
It sucks to be at this point. I weigh alot, but I would like to add ALOT more muscle to calves, chest, arms, and legs.... well I guess everything Lol.
Rep if you can stomach it, I have no doubt you can do it. Figure out what you need to eat, and force it down ED.

That sounds like me, I drink coffee all day everyday, but I can make myself eat when I get it to
