That's the reason "why" I switched over to DC...to get my #'s up. My #'s are nothing special bro. My max lifts are probably somewhere around 325 bench, 350 deadlift, 375 squat. Been going DC for about 4 weeks now and already my reps are up an average of 3-4 reps/lift.
I am...I got my B3 workout this Saturday! Then i'll load up on protein and fill up on carbs (burgers & beers). I actually haven't drank in a few months...
I use the "powergrip" you talk about. I actually thought the same thing about it throwing off symmetry so I rotate my hands each set. I just get a better grip with the "powergrip"...my forearms give out before my back if I hold it differently.
If you like Disturbed, Metallica and Pantera you will also like Children of Bodom, In Flames, Killswitch Engage, Atreyu and Trivium. Try some of that shit out and let me know if it gets you pumped up. I'm actually listening to Pantera right now lol.
Give it a shot...maybe keep a log and let everyone know how it works for you. I'm guessing many people on here have never tried it or heard about it since there aren't many threads about it.
Bump for more info...
I actually just read about it a bit. So it's almost the opposite of HIT and DC where instead of low volume to failure, you do high volume and don't go to failure.
I've always found that Low volume, High Intensity works best for me, but the only way to really know is to give it a shot.
Never heard of Westside Training. Do you have any links to routines?
I know hearing about DC Training must be getting old to everyone now with all the threads about it, but it has worked wonders in improving my strength.
Besides glutes, which everyone seems to hate because of the reach...what's the safest place to inject? I've heard shoulders since there aren't any major veins, but I would think biceps would be better since you can see all the veins and avoid them.
The problem with only having 8-10 teams is every team is good, every team has depth. You don't have to worry about a player getting injured because you have good backups. With 12 teams you need to make your picks count and make the most of the waiver wire and free agents. I think the more...
So far we would have 5 teams...anyone else interested? Would be cool to get 12, or 10 minimum. We can register for a yahoo league late July/early August. What are we going with...$50?
