Hey everyone. Hope you do not mind but I will start a training log. Suggestions are always welcome. So if you see anything that I could change or whatever don't be shy. I have the bug again. So please don't laugh at my weights right now LOL I just got to get back into shape. After talking with Chuck the other day, and getting ready to watch Bell get ready for his shows and another buddy of mine coming up here in October for the New Englands show I feel it is time to get back into shape. Also I buried a friend from my fire house this week at the age of 55. He was so out of shape. So I figured that today is my 36th B Day lets get it started. The goal right now is to cut a little weight and get my strength back.

Looks good buddy! Great to see your starting a log, everyone has to have a starting point!! What does your split look like?
 
Are you keeping a diet log as well?? What's your height and weight?

Very important-- tell us more about yourself in regards to stats and diet, etc.

PS- Always remember its about how well you can do the exercise with proper form and proper range of motion.
The amount of weight you lift is a pissing contest.
Unless you are doing a strongman or power lifting event, its irrelevant and not key to getting back into share or building muscle.
 
Thanks for checking in guys. I will start keeping a diet log soon also. I just have to get this B Day cake out of my house LOL. I am about 5'7" and weigh about 190lbs right now. I know that it is all not about weight but I do feel best when I am down around 160lbs. I have made great gains in the past. When Chuck had oldschool bodybuilding I did his competitions and made great gains with him and Bell watching my workouts. however with work, getting married, buying another house, losing my father inlaw, having 2 kids with one being sick,and losing my brother at the age of 32 in less than 3 yrs it has taken a toll on me and my body. Stress and eating Shit has made me gain weight, feel like crap and look like crap. I also do not have an excuse not to workout because I have an awesome gym right in my basement. Everything I need is here. My split will look like this Day 1 shoulders, day2 back, day3 chest, day 4arms, day 5 legs. Depending on my work schedule I will probably go something like this. 3 days on 1 day off 2 days on 2 days off.

Good arm workout to start with! How are you doing your dips? Keep it up and lets get started on that diet buddy! ;)
 
Looks good. Just keep at it and the strength increases will happen before you know it. Consistency is key.

I started at the same point 2-3 months ago and I have nearly doubled most of my working weight.
